Inaka's First Tech Day
Learning from The Best
At Inaka (and Erlang Solutions in general) we always keep trying to learn new things and share what we know with the rest of the team. With that in mind, we decided to host a half-day event twice a year in each office where everyone can give and/or attend to talks given by experts on different subjects. We call it Tech Day.
I, as Inaka's tech lead, was involved in giving talks about SumoREST to other Erlang-Solutions offices and also organizing the event here. This time, I decided to use this opportunity to invite 2 of my mentors (Darío Ruellan and Hernán Wilkinson) and let them blow other people's mind in the same way they blew mine in the past. I also included a talk by one of the inakos (Fernando Ramirez) about the research he's doing on his own. And finally, we had a talk given by another tech lead (Michal Slaski, from Kraków's office) about QuickCheck which is something we'll start including as part of our development cycle soon.
We tried to record all the talks, but sadly we had technical issues with one and only 3 videos made the final cut. I made a playlist with them.
Disclaimer (for English Speakers)
Please note that 2 of the videos are in spanish. You have to keep in mind that our offices are based on Buenos Aires, Argentina ;)
We want to thank all of our wonderful speakers and let them know that we had an enjoyable time and we learned a lot today. We'll be doing this again this year, so stay tuned for more awesome learning experiences!!
